Amitriptyline and Topiramate for Childhood Migraine
In childhood and adolescent migraine, amitriptyline and topiramate were no better than placebo and not significantly different from each other in achieving a 50% or greater reduction in days with headache. The trial was stopped early for futility.

177Lu-Dotatate in Midgut Neuroendocrine Tumors
In patients with midgut neuroendocrine tumors that progressed during octreotide analogue therapy, the addition of 177Lu-Dotatate to octreotide resulted in an 18% response rate and a significantly higher rate of progression-free survival at 20 months than high-dose octreotide alone.

Tranexamic Acid in Coronary-Artery Surgery
In a randomized trial, over 4500 patients undergoing cardiac surgery were assigned to receive tranexamic acid or placebo. There was no difference between groups in the rate of death or thrombotic complications. The tranexamic acid group had less bleeding and more seizures.

Colorectal Cancer Screening
Screening for colorectal neoplasia should be initiated at 50 years of age, with tailored screening between 76 and 85 years of age. Most guidelines do not specifically recommend one screening strategy over others; this article reviews current screening strategies.
