Étude de satisfaction en contexte de congrès
Abstract (summary)

The conference industry is an industry that has experienced considerable growth in recent years. Indeed, both on a global scale and here in Quebec, we note a craze for this sector which generates significant economic benefits for the city which hosts such event. As part of our study, we want to present a tool that will allow hotels and conference centers integrated into them to evaluate themselves in relation to satisfaction factors, and if necessary to adjust in order to offer one quality service to their customers in order to retain them.
The main objective of this study on satisfaction in the context of conferences is to identify the factors having the most importance on the satisfaction of conference participants, and to what extent these influence their intention to recommend the hotel or the conference center. Congress, we still have to come back to it.
The study was carried out with the support of the Éclosion organization, which allowed us, during their symposium held at the Delta hotel in Trois-Rivières, to interview the participants. The collection was held the second week of December 2008, and included 59 respondents on a voluntary basis.
The results of this research show that, generally speaking, the participants were satisfied with their experience. By measuring their level of satisfaction with the different elements of the service process, namely the personnel in contact and the physical support, we noted that for certain factors the gender of the participant has an impact on the satisfaction of the latter. Also, it was possible for us to conclude that the participants in this symposium sufficiently appreciated their experience, and therefore expressed their intention to recommend the Delta hotel, and possibly to return there.
