D.C. elections race may lead to majority White Council

The prospect that the Distinct of Columbia could end up with a majority White City Council is very viable. The exponential factors are in place for this scenario to play itself out into a political reality.
There are already three White incumbents (Wards 2, 3 and 6) and in two At-Large seats; if the Democratic nominee At-Large, Phil Mendelson and the Democratic nominee for Ward 1, Jim Graham, win; and if Republican David Catania is reelected At-Large, then Whites will hold seven seats leaving only six non-white seats on the 13 member Council.
