Minneapolis Mayor-elect R.T. Rybak will begin his term Jan. 2 by attending an interfaith prayer service, his swearing in and a citizens' open house at City Hall.
"It's time to open wide the doors of City Hall and bring in a breath of fresh air," Rybak said in a written release.
He also will celebrate at a multimedia "City Ball" from 8 p.m. to midnight on Saturday, Jan. 5, at the Minneapolis Convention Center. Transition spokeswoman Laura Sether said tickets will sell for $25 through Ticketmaster outlets.
