Text of report by Qatari Al-Jazeera satellite TV on 9th June
Seven members of the Iranian opposition movement Mojahedin-e Khalq {Organization, MKO} were killed in Iraq today and 23 people were wounded, including 15 Iraqis, when a booby-trapped car exploded near Baghdad.
A spokesman for the movement said that the explosion took place some 15 km north of Baghdad as the victims were being transferred to the movement's Ashraf base, located in northern Iraq. The spokesman said that among those killed in the explosion was a 36-year-old woman who was a candidate for MKO leadership council membership. The 15 wounded were in another bus when the blast occurred. With us via satellite is Shakir Hamid, Al-Jazeera correspondent in Baghdad:
