It may not be the most attractive boat in the water, but it just may be the greenest.
After two years of construction at Derecktor Shipyards, Bridgeport, CT, several delays and the work of more than 300 dedicated individuals, the 168 ft New York Homblower Hybrid is finally in the water.
The vessel made its official debut on New York Harbor during the celebration marking the 125th anniversary of the Statue of Liberty's dedication.
The ferry was part of a flotilla of ships that sailed pass Lady Liberty late last month. Check out MARINE LOG's Facebook page for images of the flotilla.
