Abstract [Objective] To study the optimal fertilizer techniques for standardized cultivation of Plantago asiatica L. [Method] Through the combination design of quadric rotation, the regression model of its production and the four elements like N, P, K and organic fertilizers was set up, the optimization of the mixed fertilization was determined by the application of DPS data base. [Result] The regression model was founded as: y =2 937.44 + 105.46X^sub 1^ +17.06X^sub 2^ +62.69X^sub 3^ +265.18X^sub 4^ -251. 17X^sub 1^^sup 2^ -80.01X^sub 2^^sup 2^ -150.62X^sub 3^^sup 2^ -55.67X^sub 4^^sup 2^ +22.75X^sup 1^X^sub 2^ +22.75X^sub 3^X^sub 4^. Using 3 450 kg/hm^sup 2^ as the critical value of system optimization scheme, the optimal mixed fertilization was the following: N fertilizer (urea) 247.65 -314.81 kg/hm^sup 2^, P fertilizer (calcium superphosphate) 346.05 -553.95 kg/hm^sup 2^, K fertilizer (potassium sulfate) 213.3 -340. 425 kg/hm^sup 2^, organic fertilizer (digest pig manure) 32 737.5 -35 782.5 kg/hm^sup 2^. [Conclusion] The fitting degree of this formula is good enough to reflect the relationship between its yield and N, P, K and organic fertilizers.
Key words Plantago asiatica L.; Standardized cultivation; Optimal fertilizer
Plantago asiatica L. , a plant of genus Plantago, family Plantaginaceae, is used as medicine with its seeds and whole grass for reducing fever and causing diuresis, excreting dampness and treating stranguria, improving eyesight and eliminating phlegm[1] . Currently, it has been made into dozens of traditional Chinese medicine or Chinese patent drug with great market demand as main raw material. Jiangxi Province has more than 300 years history of planting P. asiatica, which has become the main producing areas. Traditional technologies have been employed to cultivate P. asiatica for a long time, but in practical production, a lot of prominent problems exist to affect the development of traditional Chinese medicine modernization even if accumulating plenty of valuable experience121. But so far, there are few reports about the optimal fertilizer techniques for standardized cultivation of P. asiatica. We carried out a systematic study on the effects of fertilizer formulas on the output and quality of P. asiatica with the purpose of providing scientific basis for its GAP cultivation.
