The unique ten-string ''Santucci TrebleBass'' was developed by Sergio Santucci, a professional musician who played guitar and bass all over the world. He began to develop the idea of combining two instruments on one enlarged neck to reproduce the original bass's sound together with the guitar as he was very fond of both. The TrebleBass combines the six-string of a guitar with the four-string of a bass and is especially designed to expand the two-handed tapping style of play. The structure of the neck, while providing easy-handling for playing both bass and guitar parts simultaneously, gives any guitarist and bassist ample room for exploration across the sonic range while keeping the distinction between the instruments. The active circuitry of the individual guitar/bass pickups are wired to separate output and can be switched on and off independently.
