Dorothy Radwanski, who died aged 84, was a pioneer in the training of OH nurses and was appointed the first ever chief employment nursing adviser to the Health and Safety Executive Employment Medical Advisory Service (EMAS) between 1974 and 1983. She then set up the Civil Service Occupational Health Service in 1984 and worked as a consultant to many government departments, including the Cabinet Office. Her advice was sought by many in the UK and abroad.
