Abstract

The Home School Legal Defense Association is a national non-profit 501c4 advocacy organization that defends and promotes the rights of parents to directly educate their children. It was founded by Michael Farris, who heads Patrick Henry College in Purcellville, Virginia. Generation Joshua, a division of the organization, organizes home-school students to become active in campaigns just before election day, making phone calls and going door-to-door.
