A Suddenly NeutralHotel: 'Protectors' Flee, Leaving Guests to Their Fate The following account was telephoned Wednesday by Washington Post correspondent Jonathan C. Randal from the besieged Hotel St. Georges in Beirut to special correspondent Joseph Fitchett elsewhere in the city.
