GOLD Coast theme parks turned in a solid performance for Village Roadshow which saw 2014 after-tax profit from operations slip 9 per cent to $46.6 million despite their delivering a 3 per cent lift in income to $965.78 million.
Profit attributable to Village Roadshow's units slipped 10 per cent from $50.9 million to $45.77 million.
The figure reflects attributable net losses from material items of $10.7 million and one-off costs before tax of $11.9 million, including $5.4 million in pre-opening costs for Wet'n'Wild Sydney and $3.6 million for VRL's "theme park capital" marketing campaign.
