WARNER BROS. MOVIE WORLD
With inbound tourism in steep decline as a result of both the U.S.-led war against Iraq and the Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome outbreak, Australia's Warner Bros. Movie World theme park has taken to operating a few of its rides on a rotating basis.
The new policy, which was introduced in early May "to ensure optimum levels of operating efficiency as a reaction to reduced international visitation," will remain in place until the start of the June/July holiday period in Australia, according to a release sent to AB in response to questions about the ride rotation.
While the park has stepped up the number of roving entertainers and live performances, three major attractions are operating on a staggered schedule. Batman Adventure...
