The Gold Coast's Warner Village Theme Parks combined to take the top tourism marketing honors at the 1998 Queens (Aus.) Tourism Awards on July 24.
The joint efforts of Warner Bros. Movie World, Sea World, and Wet 'n Wild Water World in attracting tourists to the Gold Coast and Queensland were acknowledged with a win in the Tourism Marketing and Promotional Campaigns category.
Warner Village Theme Parks Group Marketing Manager Ken Minnikin said the award was a reward for the parks' initiative to join forces from a marketing perspective and to focus on promoting the Gold Coast as a destination.
