(DOMINICAN REPUBLIC) On November 25, women all over the world will mark a 16-day campaign against gender violence. However, many participants may be unaware of the significance of the day chosen to mark the campaign.
The International Day to Eliminate Violence Against Women, established by the United Nations in 1999 in response to a resolution from the Dominican Republic, has a unique resonance for women in that country.
