Abstract

The Board of Trustees of Central Synagogue in New York, announced the selection of architect High Hardy of Hardy Holzman Pfeiffer Associates to design the reconstruction of its sanctuary and lower level, which were severely damaged by the fire in August 1998. The building, with its Moorish design and ornate interior, is both a New York City and National Historic Landmark.
