Abstract

To celebrate its centennial, New York's St. Regis Hotel has updated its 256 guest rooms and suites with a fresh style while preserving their classic elegance. The makeover was led by the interior-design duo Stephen Sills and James Huniford, whose past clients have included Vera Wang and Tina Turner. Each room now has either a yellow or a teal color scheme; and new fabrics and patterns, such as straw cloth and Sills-Huniford's signature stripes, look very contemporary.
