The Goldman Sachs Croup Inc. broke ground on its 2 million-sf stainless steel world headquarters at Site 26 late last year, the last remaining commercial parcel in Battery Park City. Initial occupancy is scheduled for 2009.
The West Street structure, which will stand 750 feet and 43 stories tall directly across the street from the World Trade Center site, will house the 136-year-old financial services institution's investment banking, investment management, and trading operations.
