WTHR-TV Channel 13 is bold about its plans to launch a 24-hour local cable weather channel early next year. But the NBC affiliate has yet to finalize deals with Indianapolis-area cable providers for carriage of the channel, which will air on Channel 13's low-power sister station WALV-TV Channel 27.
WTHR officials are confident those cable systems that already carry Channel 27 will keep it once it adopts its all-weather format. However, they're hoping to expand to other cable systems before the station's debut.
