It appears the days are numbered for WRTV-TV Channel 6's 10 p.m. newscast on WTTV-TV Channel 4.
WTTV General Manager Rick Rogala said the WB affiliate will run syndicated programming in place of the local news beginning Dec. 31.
In the meantime, WRTV is looking for a way to keep its 10 p.m. news on the air.
For years, the stations have joined forces to fulfill requirements of WTTV's state contract to broadcast daily lottery drawings and the weekly "Hoosier Millionaire" game show. Hoosier Lottery officials have asked that drawing results be broadcast during newscasts, and WTTV has no news department.
This fall, Rogala notified WRTV that the agreement between the stations will be terminated when the state contract expires...
