Behind the scenes at Massey Hall. Ian gets a look at the renovations with Blue Rodeo's Jim Cuddy.
IAN HANOMANSING (HOST):
What you've missed is that Jim is obsessed about going up here, but he's been told that he's not allowed to, so…
JIM CUDDY (BLUE RODEO):
Currently told no.
IAN HANOMANSING (HOST):
Yeah. Well, I think that's going to stay that way, but…
GRANT TROOP (DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS, MASSEY HALL):
He's working on it though.
ROSEMARY BARTON (HOST):
Behind the scenes at Massey Hall.
JIM CUDDY (BLUE RODEO):

GRANT TROOP (DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS, MASSEY HALL):
I know. This is an eye-opener.
JIM CUDDY (BLUE RODEO):
Holy Christ!
GRANT TROOP (DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS, MASSEY HALL):
This is something else.

Ian takes us inside for a look at the restoration with the man who knows the venue pretty well, Blue Rodeo's Jim Cuddy. -
This has always been Canada's special music hall, just like Carnegie is to New Yorkers. So the first time you do load in and you actually play, it's tremendously thrilling.
ROSEMARY BARTON (HOST):
Geddy Lee, the legendary Rush frontman, talking to Ian last year about Toronto's Massey Hall. This week as the historic venue marks its 125th anniversary, it is deep now into its restoration project. So Ian recently went back to check in on things and you know how he is, he brought another major figure from Canada's music scene with him.
(Cheers and applause)
IAN HANOMANSING (REPORTER):
For generations a cross-section of Canadians has gathered here to watch world leaders, boxers and, of course, musicians. But now Massey Hall is closed, encased by scaffolding, in the midst of an extraordinary renovation. Massey Hall's Director of Operations Grant Troop took me for an exclusive look behind the scenes with a special guest—Blue Rodeo's Jim Cuddy who has performed here more than 40 times.
JIM CUDDY (BLUE RODEO):
