Dead Heat

Abstract

Stars [Kiefer Sutherland] and [Anthony LaPaglia] are the main reason to watch this modest, suspenseful-enough thriller because they steal the show with convincing, darkly humorous characterizations. Although the film is scaled down, the overall production values, particularly the action set pieces and races, are excellent in conveying the grit and grime of the city and stables.
