The humble and further demand of Iohn Lilburne Gent. prisoner at the bar, in order to the inabling of him to plead to the bill of indictment preferred against him; whereunto he is required to this day (being the thirteenth day of August. 1653.) to plead. The said John Lilburne prisoner at the bar having formerly demanded oyer or hearing of the Act of Parliament in the said indictment mentioned, and thereupon a paper purporting an Act of Parliament being read unto him, in these words, viz. An Act for the execution of a judgement given in Parliament against Lieutenant Colonel John Lilburn.
