A room with a view of Central Park is coveted New York real estate in a hotel or residence. And interior design at Mandarin Oriental New York in the Time Warner Center, the chain's flagship property, had to exploit that enviable advantage. "It's classic and comfortable, with a New York apartment feel," says Jennifer Kleen, senior designer and project manager for Atlanta-based Hirsch Bedner Associates, which handled interiors for all the hotel's spaces except for its Tony Chi-designed Asiate restaurant.
