A DOZEN bus operators running school buses in Hull were yesterday referred to the Restrictive Practices Court by the Office of Fair Trading for allegedly enacting a secret pricing and market-sharing cartel.
John Bridgeman, director general of fair trading, said he had uncovered evidence that 13 bus operators, including Stagecoach's Cleveland Transit, met secretly in a Hull hotel and agreed on the minimum prices at which they would tender to supply school bus services and the routes each would tender for.
