The painting adorns the back wall of the garden of the Pompeyan house, belonging to the second century before our era, with scenes of hunting of wild animals and landscapes with strong reference to Egypt, recurring theme in the decoration of the perimeter walls of the gardens of that city buried by the eruption of the volcano Vesuvius almost 2 thousand years ago.
