TORCHLIGHT (PC) TRAVIS Baldree, designer of Fate, and Max Schaefer and Erich Schaefer, co-designers of Diablo I & II, team up here in a move to delight hardcore gamers. It's not too nichey to alienate the mainstream, though. Essentially what you have here is a highly entertaining hack and slash game that will appeal to gamers of all ages and abilities. Set in the mining settlement of Torchlight, you have to fight, loot and plot your way through the dungeons. There is no daylight so you may find lengthy sessions a tad depressing! Good game with solid graphics and gameplay. SW
