Packers fans in the North Woods may be left out in the cold for Sunday's television broadcast of the game between their team and the hated Chicago Bears.
Because the signal from the new Fox network affiliate in Wausau, WFXS-TV (Channel 55), cannot reach the outer portion of northern Wisconsin -- and because local cable companies are having problems picking up the station's signal -- North Woods cheeseheads without a DirecTV "NFL Sunday Ticket" may have to depend on friends who have the satellite service to watch the game.
"We're telling people who have (DirecTV) to open their homes, invite your neighbors, make a Thanksgiving out of it," said M.A. Ogren, co-owner of Ogren Electronics in Eagle River.
