Walls not ready to retire
Veteran tight end still wants to play

Green Bay -- Wesley Walls is quick to tell you he feels great.
All right, maybe great is overstating it, Walls says. But considering he'll turn 38 in February and just finished his 15th season of getting whacked around on NFL fields, Walls' current condition is one he'll gladly accept.
"For this time of the year, it's pretty great," Walls, a Green Bay Packer tight end, said before departing last week. "Compared to what I've felt like in the past, it's great. And I've really enjoyed it here. The whole experience has been so fun."
Which is why Walls hopes it won't end.
Before exiting Green Bay, Walls said he doesn't plan on retiring. And he hopes there's a place for him again next fall in Titletown.
"It all depends on if they want me," Walls said. "I'm not a guy they're going to have to decide on right now. They've got a lot of time with me.
"I loved playing with Brett (Favre). I always wondered what it would be like to play with Brett and I hope I get another opportunity."
Walls' days of running past safeties or linebackers are over. But...
