As Robert Cerasoli embarks on his five-year term as Massachusetts' second inspector general, he faces a formidable challenge: to live up to the high standards of integrity and persistence established by his predecessor, Joseph R. Barresi.
Cerasoli, the state representative from Quincy, was the unanimous choice of Gov. William F. Weld, Attorney General L. Scott Harshbarger and State Auditor A. Joseph DeNucci.
