HUMAN resources training is undertaken to equip managers and executives with leadership qualities, management skills, business acumen and technical know-how.
Does Pareto's Principle, the 80/20 rule apply in the world of project management? To be an effective and efficient project manager, does the ideal combination consist of 20 per cent technical (hard) skills and 80 per cent managerial (soft) skills or the other way round, meaning 80 per cent public relations/people/human relationship skills and 20 per cent professional disciplines skills.
Or is it a combination of 30/70, 40/60 or even 50/50, that constitute the ideal?
In-house seminars are effective and efficient ways of disseminating knowledge and skills to the participants. Personnel from various departments under the guidance of the course leader can engage in lively repartee, sharing ideas, concepts, problems and challenges for better inter-human relationships and inter-departmental co-ordination.
These sessions foster team spirit and "espirit de corps", allowing participants to work together in a harmonious atmosphere.
