SOURCE: Forest City MetroTech Associates Brooklyn's $770-million MetroTech complex, one of the largest city projects ever planned outside Manhattan, was approved yesterday by the Board of Estimate.
Developers have estimated that the 11-building academic and commercial development in downtown, which has already attracted two tenants - Brooklyn Union Gas and the Securities Industry Automation Corp. - will create 14,500 jobs.
