FORT GREENE / Senior Forums Address Problems of Elderly Problems faced by the elderly and possible solutions will be discussed at two Senior Forums that Rep. Edolphus Towns (D-Brooklyn) is sponsoring today.
The first forum will be held at the Fort Greene Senior Citizens Center at 966 Fulton St., beginning at 9 a.m. The second forum, to be held at the Borinquen Plaza Senior Center at 80 Seigel St., in Bushwick, begins at 1 p.m.
Experts from the city Department of Aging, the Census Bureau and other public and private agencies will participate. DOWNTOWN / Bright Lights Shine on Business Buildings
New lights are shining on commercial buildings in a "Brighten Downtown Brooklyn" campaign launched by the Downtown Brooklyn Development Association.
Manufacturers Hanover Trust Co. switched on the bronze lamps in front of its Italian Renaissance Revival building at 177 Montague St. The Joseph P. Day Realty Corp. added new pedestrian lighting to its 16 Court St. building, highlighting the architectural detail at its base and illuminating the sidewalk.
