Western Queens residents are fuming over the traffic snarls that have plagued their streets since the Department of Transportation closed two Manhattan-bound lanes of the Queensboro bridge on Monday.
All week long, traffic on many local streets has been backed up during the morning rush into Manhattan, and residents say the 21-month project to repair the bridge's roadway could hurt businesses in the working-class neighborhoods with roads feeding into the 82-year-old bridge.
