Lundy's, the seafood palace that once flourished on Brooklyn's Sheepshead Bay waterfront, may be making a comeback. A developer has obtained a 49-year lease on the site of the famous Lundy's landmark restaurant, which was closed 15 years ago, and has started a $3-million rehabilitation to restore the two-story, Spanish Colonial Revival building to its former splendor.
Donald Lentnek, a partner in Lundy's Management Corp., said he is negotiating with several restaurateurs to establish a major restaurant and clam bar on the first floor.
