Cold weather sent homeless people to shelters yesterday, scores of pedestrians slipping and sliding on ice and a dog to her death in Queens.
And there's little relief in sight, according to the National Weather Service, which is predicting highs of 25 to 30 degrees, with lows near 20 degrees in the city tonight.
