For Champaign, Ill.-based alternative rockers Hum, a major label means "your records make it to the stores and you've got a van that runs," singer-guitarist Matt Talbott said.
Not only that, Hum has a song on the radio. The quartet's high-energy track "Stars" is receiving airplay on new-rock stations, including Burbank's influential KROQ-FM (106.7). The song comes from Hum's debut disc, "You'd Prefer an Astronaut" (RCA).
