"It looks like a concert. It sounds like a concert. But it's so much more," Christian musician Jeff Deyo declared by phone from Texas.
Deyo was talking about his Pure Worship Concert Tour 2003 that brings him to The Day celebration Saturday, June 7, at the New Holland Community Park.
Deyo, 33, who lives in Nashville with his wife, Martha, and their 5-month-old son, Roman, is well-known to contemporary Christian music lovers. He was lead singer, principal songwriter and co- producer of Sonicflood, a popular Christian musical group whose Dove Award-winning debut album, "SONICFLOOd," struck gold in 1999. Its follow-up, "SONICPRAISe," landed a Grammy nomination in 2000.
But the group's success was short-lived. Deyo left the group in 2000. The rest of the original band disbanded two years later. The split was difficult for Deyo, he admits, but it did help him to find his true calling as a worship leader.
