Green Oaks resident Michele Running is the type of person who makes a difference.
That's evident through the foster children she brings into her home and her former job managing long-term disability claims and worker's compensation. Her latest mission to help others is through her new business, a home-care firm where she connects caregivers with the elderly or disabled.
Running recently started a joint venture agreement with Griswold Special Care, a Philadelphia-based home-care company.
The idea to launch the business stemmed from personal experiences Running encountered with her grandmother, who was in her 90's and living alone in her Deerfield home.
Running's family had several bad experiences with caregivers who looked after her grandmother.
After her grandmother passed away, Running came across Griswold, a family-operated business.
