A Michigan-based company is in the early stages of developing strategies to revitalize the struggling Charlestowne Mall in St. Charles.
McKinley, a property management firm headquartered in Ann Arbor, recently took over operations at the shopping center, which is in flux after years of declining revenue and a tenant exodus.
A McKinley official said Tuesday that the company is confident the mall can become viable again.
"I don't know in what capacity it can be revitalized right now, but the building blocks are there," said Royal Caswell, McKinley's executive vice president of commercial operations.
