Simon Wills scored his second successive New Zealand Grand Prix motor-racing victoryyesterday, holding off his rival of last year, fellow Aucklander Scott Dixon, onthe Ruapuna circuit at Christchurch.
Wills started from pole position with Dixon back on fourth. He lost most of the grandprix qualifying session on Saturday after a driveshaft CV joint broke.
Dixon moved up quickly to second place and put pressure on Wills for a time, buthis Reynard 92D was handicapped by an ignition problem and he finished the 34-lap116km race 8.6 seconds behind.
