The man who did portraits of Mona Lisa and Mark Blumsky in thousands of pieces of burnt toast in Wellington now has an exhibition at, where else, Toast Bistro on The Terrace. This time Maurice Bennett has blowtorched Maori and Pacific designs on slices of bread to create tapa cloth-like wall hangings. The exhibition lasts until November 30. And if the sight of so much toast is too much at lunchtime, try the risotto, caesar salad or corn fritters.
