AS YOU SIT AT HOME perusing your Batman-sticker collection album, eating Batman chocolate while dressed in your Batman T-shirt, Batman sweatshirt, Batman jeans and Batman hat, you can pull out your Batman key-ring, unlock your filing cabinet, pull out some Batman stationary and write to a fellow Bat-fan about your new haul of Bat-booty.
As Batman's teenage assistant Robin might exclaim, "Holy Bat-mania!"
Only don't look for any Robin-related products, because he's not in the new Batman movie, opening here on October 8. The film's local premiere will be accompanied by the biggest merchandising campaign in this country ever tied to a feature film, according to Arye Saban, president of the Israel Audio-visual Corporation (IAC). Saban has obtained the exclusive local licensing rights for Bat-products from the European office of Warner Bros., the studio that produced the film.
