Belfast's Lord Mayor, Ulster Unionist Councilor Bob Stoker, has enthusiastically welcomed the 3,500 competitors and 10,000 spectators who will participate in the city's first ever Oireachtas Rince na Cruinne.
For the first time in its 31-year-old history, the event, described generously by its promoters as 'the Olympic Games of the Irish Dancing World,' will be staged outside the Republic.
