KATIE Joplin is a very frank and unpretentious woman.
She likes to tell it like it is. Whether she's soothing her impulsive roommate, Liz, or steering her 14-year-old son, Gray, through the jungle of adolescence, Katie always speaks her mind.
Meet Katie, an opinionated single mom (played by Park Overall of Empty Nest) in this new sitcom Katie Joplin which will debut over TV2 on Aug 27, replacing Movie Stars.
When harried radio station owner Glen Shotz (Jay Thomas of Murphy Brown fame) offers to pay her to talk, Katie jumps at the job, and into the fire with her off-beat co-workers.
Katie rapidly earns the loyalty and trust of her listeners by cutting right to the heart of the matter.
Katie Joplin will be shown every Sundays from 1pm to 1.30pm over TV2.

When Tennessee native and single mom Katie Joplin moves to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, with her son Gray (played by Jesse Head), she works at a car dealership.
However, after experiencing Katie's frankness and insight while buying a car, harried local radio station general manager Glen Shotz recruits her to be a late-night call-in radio host.
No one can quash Katie's fierce opinions, especially not naive...
