MANDY MOORE (Coverage) FROM a young blonde pop singer, Mandy Moore has morphed into a sophisticated brunette.
After the success of four best-selling albums, with the 1999 platinum debut, So Real imprinting her name on the world map of music, the world knows that Miss Moore is a serious talent.
Can't profess to being a fan, but, yeah, I can tolerate the stuff that she sings and writes, even if they are `lembik' ala I Wanna Be With You, the hit that really got her sailing.
Moore has also acted in several movies, and while I can't claim to have watched any, or want to watch any for that matter, this transformation from a bubble gum girl to one who's cocksure is easily evident from this album.
Yes, with the kind of success she has had, it's easy to justify the release of Coverage, a compilation of 12 classic pop and rock anthems and ballads from the `70s and `80s.
To be honest, the simple pop songs can stretch the patience, but she has come up with some commendable enough efforts here.
