Abstract

In preparation for Sunday's official kickoff of her Senate campaign, first lady Hillary Rodham Clinton (D) yesterday went on the air throughout the Empire State with her first 60-second radio spot.

The radio ad dovetails with Clinton's planned Feb. 6 campaign announcement, slated to take place at the State University of New York at Purchase, located in Westchester County. Campaign aides say roughly 24,000 supporters will gather at "house parties" for a collective viewing of the announcement Sunday and that the first lady will make personal calls to the parties. Clinton will then embark on a weeklong tour of Buffalo, Rochester, Syracuse, Albany and Manhattan.
