DARIO Franchitti has delayed the lure of a seat in Formula One until the year 2001 after deciding to extend his contract racing the Stateside IndyCar series by another 12 months.
The Bathgate racer, 25, who took the CART FedEx Championship by storm this year when he narrowly missed out on the runners-up spot in only his second full season, will drive the Team Kool Green car until the end of 2000.
