A NEW hospital menu designed by television chef Loyd Grossman has been branded "idiotic" by the celebrated chef and food critic Egon Ronay.
Although traditional hospital food was described by Mr Ronay as "unappetising, lukewarm, tasteless, unimaginative, and unattractive", the veteran food critic said new dishes such as braised chicken thighs with lentils were not the answer.
He also questioned Mr Grossman's involvement in the GBP 40 million makeover of hospital catering services, claiming the former presenter of Masterchef had been "naive". The revamped dishes are an attempt by the NHS to improve...
