TAKE a closer look at that good old British stalwart, the Ford Transit. Did you know it has Made in North Yorkshire written all over it?
It's not obvious at first glance, but no fewer than 47 parts of the familiar workhorse are labelled or badged by a small but progressive nameplate and label maker from Thirsk.
In fact UK Market leader GSM Graphic Arts more or less makes every label on the Tranny - apart from the prestigious familiar Ford badge on the bonnet, that role goes to rival firms on the Continent.
But apart from quickly establishing itself as a UK market leader and positioning itself to take the number one slot across Europe, GSM is attracting the attention of the country's biggest blue chips for an altogether different reason.
Hand-picked earlier this year by the Department of Trade and Industry for its Inside UK Enterprise project (IUKE), GSM acts as a host company for visitors seeking to tour its factory and take a close look at the work culture that has made the group so successful.
